Alta Lodge is the perfect destination for a summer wedding. Located at the heart of one of Utah’s oldest ski resorts, the venue is surrounded by mountains, trees, and wildflowers during the day, and is under a canopy of seemingly endless stars at night.
Here’s what you need to know to start planning your wedding at Alta Lodge.
Alta Lodge Wedding Info
Alta Lodge is a rustic and charming wedding venue perfect for couples who love Utah’s great outdoors, and the mountains that are at the heart of them. There is plenty of room for guests with both indoor and outdoor spaces including a wrap-around deck and sunroom.
Alta Lodge hosts ceremonies and receptions during the summer months.
Wedding Ceremony Sites
Alta Lodge’s patio is the favorite spot for wedding ceremonies. With an expansive view of the mountains and blooming wildflowers, the backdrop looks like something out of a fairy tale.
There is an indoor space available as well, but it is not as pretty as the patio.
Wedding Reception Site
Receptions are held on the second-story patio and interior space on the first and second floors. As the reception goes on the main floor ceremony patio space can be converted into a dance floor.
All of the reception spaces overlook Alta’s towering ski slopes and the interior spaces feature beautiful wooden walls and detailing. It’s a rustic ski lodge feel but is transformed into a party atmosphere for your celebration.
Bridal Suite/ Getting Ready Rooms
There are rooms for both members of the couple to get ready in the lodge. In addition, Alta Lodge provides a complimentary corner room for the bride and groom with a king bed, private balcony, and wood-burning fireplace the night of the event.
Other unique amenities
Alta is a venue for couples who cherish Utah’s canyons and outdoor majesty. The view really is the main draw here. You will feel completely surrounded by mountains. There is also an “old Utah” vibe that many couples love because of Alta’s prominence as one of the oldest ski resorts in the state.
