Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is a unique and charming place for animal advocates to hold their weddings in Kanab, Utah. The sanctuary is home to around 1,600 hundred rescued animals at any given time including dogs, cats, horses, pigs, birds, lizards, and other creatures who need a little extra help. Guests are welcome to bring their furry friends as well, and the Roadhouse on the property offers rooms for both dog and cat owners.

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary welcomes thousands of people from all around the world every year to come and visit the animals who live here, and to learn more about their mission to “save them all.” While the sanctuary covers several acres of land the central amphitheater, Angel’s Landing, is where events take place on site. Here there are high cliff walls and dozens of mature juniper, pine, and cypress trees that give wonderful shade in the desert heat.
The best months to host a wedding at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary are May through September.
Wedding Ceremony and Reception Site
Angel’s Landing is a large lawn and natural amphitheater with patio space beneath the cliff overhang. The ceremony site is at one end of the lawn in front of an enormous tree and with two small rock recesses.
Receptions are held on the patio space and lawn. There is plenty of room for buffet tables and a dance floor.
Bridal Suite/ Getting Ready Rooms
Couples are encouraged to get rooms at the nearby Roadhouse to prepare for their celebrations.

The venue rental fee is $750 Monday-Thursday and $1,500 for Friday-Saturday. Half-price rental fees are available for the day before or after for set up and take down of your event.
All rentals include folding chairs, banquet tables, and picnic tables.

Tables and chairs are included. No open flames (including tea lights) allowed.

The Roadhouse is a boutique hotel for pets and their humans located on the sanctuary grounds. It has forty rooms including standard studios and two-level suites.
There are also several lodging options in Kanab including the Quail Park Lodge and a La Quinta Inn.
What are the check-in/check-out times for guests staying overnight?
Check-in is at 4 PM and check-out is at 11 AM.
Is there an in-house wedding planner or day-of coordinator?
Best Friends recommends you work with one of the wedding professionals familiar with the venue. They will provide you with a list with your rental contract.
What are some nearby attractions?
Best Friends is the main attraction. You can visit the animals, and volunteer to help take care of them. If you are lonely in your hotel you can arrange an animal sleepover with one of the residents.
Off the sanctuary grounds, you may want to visit the Kanab dinosaur tracks, the Sand Caves, or the Moqui caves.
