The two Cactus and Tropical venues are oases in the middle of cities. Located in Draper and Salt Lake City both have been curated to transport visitors to a wonderland with their stunning floral displays, captivating fauna, and quirky, charming venue decor. Couples and their guests will celebrate in a unique paradise that offers the perfect backdrop for unforgettable experiences.

Wedding Ceremony Sites
Both locations of Cactus and Tropicals feature lush ceremony sites inside their greenhouses. At the Draper location the ceremony takes place under a gazebo and the greenhouse’s high ceilings and dappled light make a chapel-like ceremony site.
In Salt Lake City the ceremony site is a bit more intimate. Couples wed under a trellis in the greenhouse surrounded by plants, flowers, and trees.
Wedding Reception Site
Your reception will be an ideal garden party at either Cactus and Tropical location. Tables for buffets, cakes, and drinks can be set up inside the greenhouses, while tables for guest dining and mingling can be placed both indoors and out. The Draper location is larger than the venue in Salt Lake City, so it can also accommodate a dance floor.
Both locations offer audio and video equipment including a flat-screen TV and wireless microphone.
Bridal Suite/ Getting Ready Rooms
Private dressing rooms are available at both locations.

Cactus and Tropicals is the only place in Utah where you can have a garden wedding at any time of the year. It also constantly changes due to the plants and flowers in bloom at any given time. Whatever is blooming though, your wedding will surely be lovely and memorable.
What is the capacity?
The Salt Lake City location can accommodate up to 60 guests for the ceremony and reception, while the Draper location can accommodate up to 100.
Where is the location?
The Salt Lake location of Cactus and Tropicals is just minutes from downtown Salt Lake City on the east side of the city right off of I-80. The Draper location is 25 minutes from the city center and two miles from I-15.
How many weddings are hosted on-site each day?
Due to time constrictions no more than one event is scheduled at either location each day.
Are there any time or noise restrictions?
Due to the fact that both locations function as active businesses during the day weddings can only be held after 7 pm Monday through Saturday and after 6 pm on Sunday. All functions must end by 10 pm at both locations.

Both venues are ADA-accessible.
What is the pet policy?
Pets are allowed for ceremonies.
Cactus and Tropicals Wedding Cost
Rental fees for Cactus and Tropicals depend on if you are having both your ceremony and reception at the venue, or just your reception.
At the Draper location, the fee for a wedding and reception on a Friday or Saturday is $3,300, and $3,000 for a reception only. Between Sunday and Thursday, the fee is $2,900 for a ceremony and reception, and $2,700 for a reception only.
At the Salt Lake City location, the fee for a wedding and reception on a Friday or Saturday is $2,600, and $2,300 for a reception only. Between Sunday and Thursday, the fee is $2,200 for a ceremony and reception, and $2,000 for a reception only.
Both venues require a refundable security deposit of $500. A 10% discount is available if the fees are paid in full upon reservation of the venue.

What are the catering options?
You are free to use any catering of your liking at either Cactus and Tropicals location. As this is a greenhouse keep in mind that they do not have kitchen spaces.
What are the included decor options and restrictions?
Cactus and Tropicals motto is “always decorated” and that applies to your wedding. The rental fee includes blooming centerpieces for the tables. There is also additional decor for rent.
What are the lodging (on-site or nearby) options?
There are no on-site accommodations at either Cactus and Tropicals location, but there are many lodging offers close to both.
The Salt Lake location is less than three miles from Springhill Suites, Home2 Suites by Hilton, and Hampton Inn. It is also a short drive away from the hundreds of lodging options in downtown Salt Lake City.
The closest lodging options to the Draper location are less than three miles away and include Springhill Suites, Quality Inn, and Fairfield Inn. Downtown metro area hotels are less than 20 miles away.

Both locations of Cactus and Tropicals are located near many of Salt Lake City’s most popular tourist sites.
