The Ballroom seats 200 for a plated dinner, 250 auditorium-style, or up to 300 in what the venue calls a dynamic rotating reception layout. Counting the lobby and the adjoining space, the venue tops out at 250 seated or 500 standing.
There’s a Bose S1 wireless PA system, a lectern with a microphone, a projector and screen, and a large display. Furniture includes wooden x-back chairs, several table options, cocktail tables and soft seating such as sofas and chaises. Six guest restrooms serve the space.
Alcohol service requires a Sips and Tips certified, insured bartender, whether you bring your own bar or use theirs. A Utah DABS permit is only needed if alcohol is sold or the event is open to the public, so a hosted bar for invited guests doesn’t require one.
Decor can go on tables, floors and easels. Wall fixtures, adhesives and confetti aren’t allowed, and candles have to be enclosed, supervised and capped at 100 per event.
Getting Ready, Lodging & Guest Logistics
There’s a Bridal Suite, a Groom’s Room and a Children’s Room, plus two private meeting rooms, for getting ready. Guests can park in the garage at 25 Exchange Place, on the street, or use valet.

Bring your own caterer and your own vendors. The venue’s vendor policy is open, and the requirement on the caterer is proper licensing and insurance.
The kitchen is prep space only: tables and sinks, no stoves or ovens, and no cooking on site, which rules out open flames, hot plates, grills and fryers. Warming ovens for holding food are fine.
Food trucks can park in the cul-de-sac on Exchange Place as long as someone stays with the vehicle. LUX Catering & Events works here often, though nothing about the policy is exclusive.

The Ballroom at the Commercial Club prices weddings in two tiers. Essential starts at $4,450 on a weekday and $5,450 on a weekend, and runs from 1:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with setup and teardown included. That covers the ballroom, the bar, the prep kitchen, tables and chairs, AV equipment, Wi-Fi, climate control, an on-site event supervisor and post-event cleaning.
Signature is $5,850 on a weekday and $6,850 on a weekend, keeps the venue open until midnight, and adds a one-hour rehearsal on the prior weekday plus a 90-minute photo session before the event.
Time past your package end runs $300 an hour, and leaving items in the space overnight carries a $500 holding fee. Daytime and hourly rentals cost less than the full evening packages and vary by date, though they may not be available on prime weekend dates.
There’s no separate ceremony fee, and a two-day rate can be arranged when the calendar allows, which is worth asking about if you want the room for a rehearsal dinner the night before.
Alcohol service carries a $400 beverage service fee. A $350 banquet license fee appears elsewhere on the venue’s site, so confirm with them which fee applies to your event.
