Deer Valley Resort Wedding Info
Deer Valley Resort is nestled in Park City with stunning mountain views on every side. The views throughout the resort are virtually endless, allowing guests to fully unwind from the outside world and enjoy the mountain lifestyle.
With various venues to choose from throughout the resort, couples can pick their favorite luxe lodge or quaint cabin for a customized celebration. The resort is a full-service venue as well, keeping all details in-house and simple for the bride and groom. If you’re looking for an adventurous location without sacrificing elegance or tradition, Deer Valley Resort is a perfect place to say “I do.”
The best months to host a wedding at Deer Valley Resort are June through October and December through April.
Wedding Ceremony Sites
There are three primary ceremony sites at the Deer Valley Resort, with indoor and outdoor options available at all three.
At the Empire Canyon Lodge, you can have your wedding in a lovely meadow right outside the building, surrounded by towering pines and aspens. Indoor ceremonies can be held in one of the five reception rooms with vaulted ceilings, beautiful cedar walls, and towering windows that bring the outside in.
The Silver Lake Lodge is located mid-mountain and has several outdoor and indoor options for your ceremony. You can wed outdoors with a 360-degree view of the mountains, or on the deck of the lodge with family and friends. Weddings can also be held inside the lodge in the ballroom.
The third site, Cushing’s Cabin, is perfect for those couples looking for a secluded wedding setting. Accessible only via shuttle or chairlift the ceremony site is a mountain peak with the world at your feet.
Wedding Reception Site
All three locations offer reception spaces that are both entwined in the natural world and timelessly elegant. Empire Lodge offers space for a dance floor and full band, and all three locations have ample indoor and outdoor space for banquets and cocktail receptions.
Bridal Suite/ Getting Ready Rooms
Couples are given a room in one of the lodges at Deer Valley Resort on the day of their wedding where they can prepare for the festivities and spend their wedding night.
Other unique amenities
Deer Valley offers chair lift transport for guests to both the Siver Lake and Cushing’s Cabin locations. While you are in the lap of luxury you will never forget that you are in one of the most beautiful mountain resorts in the state of Utah.
During your reception, your guests will have access to fire pits on the lawn to warm themselves, as well as lawn games like cornhole.
What is the capacity?
The Empire Lodge has a maximum capacity of 200 guests, while the Silver Lake Lodge has a capacity of 300 and Cushing’s Cabins can accommodate 150 guests.
Where is the location?
The Deer Valley Resort is located at the top of Park City surrounded on all sides by the Wasatch Mountains. It is roughly an hour from the Salt Lake City International Airport.
How many weddings are hosted on-site each day?
One wedding can be held at each of the venues each day.
Are there any time or noise restrictions?
During winter months ceremonies cannot begin until 7 pm due to skiing operations at the resort.
Is this venue ADA-accessible?
All venues except Cushing’s Cabin are wheelchair accessible.

Deer Valley Wedding Cost
Deer Valley Resort offers two reception packages, the classic, and the signature. Both packages include the ceremony site (which can also be upgraded for a fee), complimentary ceremony rehearsal, exclusive use of the reserved lodge and grounds, round tables and leather chairs, linens, and all dishes and glassware.
The classic package includes a buffet meal for guests with two entrees, while the signature includes a plated three-course meal with a choice of two entrees.
In the summer months (April through November) the classic package is $200 per person on Friday or Sunday, and $210 per person on Saturday, and the signature is $220 a person on Fridays and Sundays, and $230 on Saturdays.
During the winter (December-April) the classic package is $240 dollars a person for all dates, and the signature is $260 a person.
An 80-person minimum is required. However, Deer Valley can accommodate smaller parties with the addition of a venue fee ranging between $2,500 and $5,000 depending on location and date.
If booked with a wedding, rehearsal dinners and brunches are offered additionally discounted rental costs.
Wedding Catering and Lodging
Deer Valley Resort offers to take care of every detail, allowing the bride, groom, and their guests to simply enjoy the experience.
What are the catering options?
Deer Valley Resort is a full-service venue, providing catering and bartending for all events.
They offer pre-set menus for clients to work off of for buffet, station, and plated dinners and are happy to further customize.
The bakery provides wedding cakes with a wide variety of fillings and designs (and samples provided). Couples may hire an outside vendor for their cake, but will incur an additional service charge.
As a gift, the couple Deer Valley Resort provides a small buttercream cake to take home after the ceremony.
What are the included decor options and restrictions?
Deer Valley Resort provides linens and outdoor bistro lighting at the venues. Check with them about other possible decor available and restrictions.
What are the lodging (on-site or nearby) options?
Deer Valley Resort has a number of lodging options available on-site including multiple vacation rentals and private homes.
If your guests choose not to stay at the resort Park City is just seconds away with multiple hotels, and rental properties available.
Is there an in-house wedding planner or day-of coordinator?
A wedding planner is required for at least the month before the wedding day. Deer Valley has an on-site event planner and three coordinators available for hire or couples are free to hire their own wedding planner if they wish.
What are some nearby attractions?
Deer Valley Resort has it all: hiking, fishing, biking, boating, golf, tennis, hot air ballooning, mountain biking, chairlift rides, exploring historic Main Street, and summer concerts. In the winter, guests enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, and the Sundance Film Festival.
