The request was to prioritize candid photos. Done and done. We spent a good bit of time at Finca/ La Barba in downtown Salt Lake City, and Keri and Mike fell right into their funny, sarcastic banter while sipping some drinks. If you haven’t been to this coffeeshop by day and tapas joint by night, do so now. Anyway, I really love how laugh-y this couple was—I think it really comes across on the camera.
For the second stop on the session, we went to the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (UMOCA). Mike is on the board of directors for the Central Utah Art Center, so it made sense for us to put him in his element. I made sure we got some candid photos, but by this time, I was able to sneak in a few strong poses to round out the shoot.
