Little fleeting moments of authentic emotion—that’s why Beth told me she hired me to shoot her wedding. It’s these little things that are so important to me to capture: a hand being held, a look that only lovers know the meaning of, a dog lazily sitting about, an immaculate detail that has significance.
Beth knew it instinctively and photography was really important to her, so it was an honor to photograph her big backyard celebration of love. It felt like her and Mike invited the whole of Park City and friends from parts unknown to their property that rests against Swaner EcoCenter. The views of the grassland preserve and the ski resort to the west were staggering. But the most impressive part was the sheer tour de force of the wedding, with tents, gourmet food, a huge band and dancefloor, several pop-up tents. It was staggering and inspiring. A beautiful day fit for a beautiful wedding.
