High West Distillery Wedding Info
The distillery opened in 2007 with a single barrel, and since then has grown into the operations hub of one of Utah’s best-known high-end liquor producers. From the gleaming copper tanks to the used whiskey barrels, to the bottles used for decoration, the distilling theme is evident throughout the property. However, Utah’s beautiful landscape and the mountain surroundings of the distillery also come into play, creating a stunning landscape.
The best months to host a wedding at High West Distillery are June through October.
Wedding Ceremony Sites
There are two sites for ceremonies at High West Distillery, one inside and one outside. The inside venue is a chapel with floor-to-ceiling windows to showcase the outdoors, and a lovely fireplace to keep you and your guests warm. The outside venue is a lush amphitheater surrounded by trees and in front of a water feature.
Wedding Reception Site
The reception site is on the main floor of the venue, with seating available both inside and out. The high ceilings and beautiful woodwork brings the outside in for your guests to enjoy. As it is a distillery, cocktails are not only allowed but encouraged. There is also room for a dance floor if you want to kick up your heels.

For the ceremony the indoor chapel can seat 60 while the outdoor amphitheater can accommodate 135 seated guests.
For receptions, High West Distillery can accommodate 150 guests for a plated dinner event a total of 200 guests on site.

High West Distillery is located in Kamas, Utah, about 30 minutes outside Park City, and about an hour and 15 minutes away from the Salt Lake International Airport. It is a secluded location nestled between the Wasatch and Uintah Mountain ranges.

High West Distillery handles all of the catering on-site with menus starting at $85 a person. Their options include a wide variety of Utah favorites including local trout and bison. As this is a distillery you should consider anything with bourbon in it to be absolutely amazing – and not just cocktails, it’s in the desserts too.
What are the included decor options and restrictions?
High West Distillery provides lots of decorations with rustic charm that are already on site. They include whiskey barrels, antique glass, and brass light fixtures. Please call about bringing in flowers and other decor.
What are the lodging (on-site or nearby) options?
The Lodge at Blue Sky Ranch is the closest lodging for High West Distillery. It features a lodge with 19 rooms, creek-side cabins, and several suites.
Beyond the Lodge at Blue Sky, there are several hotels in Park City and Kimball Junction.
Is there an in-house wedding planner or day-of coordinator?
High West Distillery requires couples to use a coordinator for at least the day of their event. They have a list of preferred people and companies who are familiar with the venue.
What are some nearby attractions?
High West offers tours of the distillery daily starting in May. You will be walked through the entire process from blending to bottling, and learn all about High West and the history of whiskey in Utah. Reservations are encouraged.
There is also a myriad of things to do in nearby Park City, including historic Main Street, outlet stores at Kimball Junction, and too many hiking trails to count.
