Louland Falls Wedding Info & Cost

Louland Falls punches above its price point. The ceremony site is perched above Parleys Canyon and the reception patio is flanked by peaks, and both look more cinematic than a venue this accessible usually does.

Sandstone cliffs, mountain scale, twinkle lights once the sun is down. If you want that and you’re comfortable keeping things simple, Louland Falls fits.

Ceremony Sites at Louland Falls

Ceremonies happen on an open lawn flanked by sandstone cliffs, with an arbor set against the peaks behind it. Louland Falls has listed multiple outdoor ceremony setups, with capacity up to 250 for a ceremony-only booking, above the 200 seated for a combined ceremony and reception.

Reception Spaces at Louland Falls

Receptions are on a large stone patio built around the waterfall.

For weather, there’s a small indoor space. It isn’t a room you’d move a whole ceremony into, and in shoulder season tents have gone up over the patio so dinner and dancing could carry on under cover.

There are 200 white resin folding chairs and 200 bronze Chiavari chairs, plus 25 large round tables (60″), 2 medium rounds (48″), 3 small rounds (36″), 5 cabaret tables (24″) and 10 banquet tables (6′). Table linens come in a range of colors and are included.

You can use the house PA and sound system if you’re not bringing a band or a DJ.

Getting Ready, Lodging & Guest Logistics

Getting ready happens in one main common area plus two rooms, one for each party. If it matters to you that you don’t see each other before the ceremony, that layout takes real orchestration.

There’s no lodging on site.

Louland Falls lists a side-by-side ATV to shuttle guests up from parking, at a small additional cost. In practice, guests hire a bus from Salt Lake City or Park City, with staggered pickups at the end of the night so nobody is stranded at the venue or dragged away early.

A getaway car can be added to your package. The choices are a 2022 Corvette C8 Stingray, a 1964 Galaxie 500 convertible, a 1969 Corvette Roadster and a 2023 Dodge Hellcat Jailbreak. No price is published.

Mountain Dell Golf Course and Little Dell Reservoir are both close by if guests want to make a day of it, and downtown Salt Lake City’s shops, museums and theaters are a short drive for anyone staying over.

Louland Falls books weddings and nothing else. It doesn’t take business meetings, dances, fraternity parties or quinceañeras. The venue holds one wedding a day, so you’re not sharing the property with another event.

Catering & Vendors at Louland Falls

Cosmopolitan Catering is the only caterer at Louland Falls and outside catering isn’t permitted, so your menu comes from their list. Options have included a summer barbecue package and a Mediterranean buffet. The same company runs the venue, which means the booking and the food come from one place and should arrive on one quote.

Louland Falls Wedding Cost

Louland Falls doesn’t publish wedding pricing. The last figure we had from them, in 2023, was a $4,000 starting fee, and we’re working on getting couples a current one.

The Knot shows $8,850, but that’s their own calculated estimate rather than a number from the venue.

Two costs Louland Falls confirms without pricing them: the shuttle up from parking, and the getaway car.

Because Cosmopolitan Catering is exclusive, one quote covers the site and the food together. To get that quote you have to call or email. Louland Falls asks couples to make contact for pricing and policies rather than publishing either.

A Photographer’s Take on Louland Falls

I’ve photographed more LGBTQ+ weddings at Louland Falls than at any other venue I work. Nobody printed that in a brochure, it’s just what my calendar looks like, and if you’re trying to work out where you’ll be comfortable, it’s the most honest thing I can tell you.

Louland Falls sign. The ceremony site is one of a kind in Utah. There’s a rock outcropping most people don’t expect from a venue this close to the freeway, a garden that has genuinely been landscaped, and an overlook to the east.

The light there comes from behind the audience and off to the left, so it lands on the couple broadside instead of straight into somebody’s eyes. Whoever’s facing west takes the brunt of it, which here is usually the groom.

The best pictures come after the sun goes behind the ridge. Louland sits closer to the valley floor than the mountain venues do, so it gets an early false sunset and the light turns soft earlier in the evening than I’m used to.

That buys time. We can walk up to the waterfall, take the staircase along the wooded path by the stream, or go back to the ceremony site looking out over Parleys Canyon, and the light is still doing the work for us.

That same low elevation is why it gets hot in high summer. Early season, September and October are the best of it. Even in summer, though, the heat breaks the moment the sun is behind the ridgeline, and the evening turns pleasant right about the time dinner starts.

Louland Falls Wedding FAQ

How much does a wedding at Louland Falls cost?

Louland Falls doesn’t publish a price. The most recent figure we have is a $4,000 starting fee from 2023. Catering is exclusive to Cosmopolitan Catering, so when you call, ask for the site and the food quoted together.

How many guests can Louland Falls hold?

Louland Falls seats 200 for a combined ceremony and reception, and the furniture backs that up: 200 folding chairs and 200 Chiavari chairs live on the property. Ceremony-only bookings have been listed at up to 250.

Is Louland Falls ADA accessible?

Partly. A shuttle runs from the parking area, which handles the walk in, but the site is canyon ground with some grade. If anyone in your party has specific mobility needs, ask the venue directly before you book.

Does Louland Falls have an in-house wedding coordinator, or do you need your own planner?

An on-site venue coordinator comes with the booking and runs your event at the venue. That isn’t the same job as a planner who handles design, vendors and the months of decisions beforehand. If you want that, hire it separately.

Do you have to use Louland Falls’ caterer?

Yes. Cosmopolitan Catering is exclusive and outside catering isn’t permitted. The same company runs the venue, so the booking and the menu come from one place and should reach you as a single quote.

Can you bring a dog to a Louland Falls wedding?

Dogs have been part of weddings here, including one who walked in the ceremony. It isn’t a published policy though, so confirm with the venue before you build your dog into the day.
