Millcreek Inn is just a short drive from downtown Salt Lake City. Yet, it offers a woodsy, private charm for weddings and events.
The outdoor ceremonies are among my favorite, because it feels like you are in a tree house, surrounding by oak, pine, and a thoughtful garden.
Millcreek Inn was built as a private residence in the 1950s. It served as a local tavern in the mid-’60s and opened its doors for events in 1999.
With a sprawling outdoor patio and intimate indoor banquet rooms, Millcreek Inn hosts year-round celebrations of all sizes customized just for you.
Outdoor ceremonies take place on the patio. There, you’ll be surrounded by the lush foliage, gardens, and mountain scenery.
For indoor celebrations, you choose between three banquet rooms. During the winter, for larger receptions, Millcreek Inn creates a tented seating and dining area equipped with space heaters.
Capacity varies based on the site location:
The entire venue can accommodate up to 300 guests.
An outdoor patio ceremony can accommodate 140 guests.
Outdoor dining allows for 140 guests; indoor dining allows for an additional 75 guests.
The largest indoor dining area can comfortably seats 40.
Millcreek Inn is located three miles up Millcreek Canyon. It’s easily accessed from the Salt Lake Valley.
Weddings per Day
Millcreek Inn will host a maximum of two weddings per day.
Time and Noise Restrictions
Morning events are allotted 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Evening events are allotted 4 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Millcreek Inn is wheelchair accessible.
Pets are allowed for the ceremony only.
There are ample opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and picnicking in Millcreek Canyon.

While each event at Millcreek Inn is custom priced, average costs are as follows:
- Ceremonies typically range from $1,000 plus taxes
- When booked with a reception, ceremonies are discounted to a base price of $350
- Receptions typically cost $8,000 and up
- Rehearsal dinners typically cost $8,000 and up
Wedding Catering and Lodging
Millcreek Inn requires that you use in-house services for food and beverage.
Millcreek Inn’s in-house executive chef coordinates and executes all custom wedding menus. You can choose between a seated dinner or a buffet.

All events include set up and clean up.
