Powder Mountain no longer has any visible wedding presence. Both of the wedding URLs the resort used to run are dead, there is no events or weddings entry anywhere in the site navigation, the FAQ has no weddings category, and the contact page lists no events department.
The aggregators that carry Ogden Valley venues don’t list Powder Mountain at all, and every listing that still shows wedding details for it describes the resort as it was before the 2023 change of ownership, naming buildings that no longer appear on the site.
Nobody at the resort has announced that weddings have ended. It has simply stopped publishing about them, so if you want a definitive answer, ask Powder Mountain directly.
If what you wanted was a wedding on a mountain in Ogden Valley, the place to look is Snowbasin Resort, the next big resort over in the same valley. It runs an active wedding program with published spaces, it hosts ceremonies and receptions at Earl’s Lodge down at the base, and Needles Lodge sits at 8,700 feet at the top of a gondola.

Powder Mountain Wedding Quick Facts
Status — Powder Mountain publishes nothing about weddings. Its wedding pages are dead, there’s no events contact, and the spaces couples were once pointed to have gone from the site.
Location — Powder Mountain is a ski resort in Eden, Utah, at the top of Ogden Valley, a little over an hour north of Salt Lake City by car.

Everything in this section describes how a wedding at Powder Mountain worked while the resort was still publishing about it. None of it is bookable now, and the buildings much of it names are gone from the resort’s own site.
Ceremony Sites at Powder Mountain
Couples were pointed to Arbor Lodge, a 6,000-square-foot building with 2 outdoor patios and a full-service bar, and to a meadow set aside for outdoor ceremonies.
Neither name appears anywhere on Powder Mountain’s site today. Both date from the resort’s previous ownership.
Reception Spaces at Powder Mountain
The reception space couples were pointed to was Bower Lodge, which had wrap-around patios and an open dining and event room. That name is gone from the current site too.
What Powder Mountain publishes now is 3 day lodges: Hidden Lake Lodge, Timberline Lodge and Sundown Lodge. All 3 are presented as places to eat and get your skis sorted rather than as event spaces you can book.
Older directory listings name more spaces again, including Valley Lodge, Sky Lodge and Skylodge, and put the capacity at 250 seated or 400 standing with a 2 a.m. curfew. Those listings all describe the Summit Powder Mountain operation that ran before the 2023 sale. None of those building names survive on the resort’s site, and no capacity for a wedding has ever come from Powder Mountain itself.
Getting Ready, Lodging & Guest Logistics
Powder Mountain doesn’t run lodging of its own. Guests book condos, townhomes and vacation rentals in the valley through Airbnb, Vrbo, Compass Rose Lodge or Wolf Creek Rentals, so a wedding here meant your guest list sorted its own beds.
There’s also a private residential community inside the resort, Powder Haven, with roughly 650 member families and a 73,000-square-foot clubhouse called the Arclodge. It’s members-only and it isn’t a wedding venue.
The recreation is real and current. Powder Mountain publishes hiking and biking trails including Sidewinder, Paper Airplane and Woody’s World, night skiing in winter, and live music at the Powder Keg. Couples planning a wedding weekend were once also offered ATV rides, rock climbing, golf, archery, yoga and heli-skiing among others, and none of that is presented as a wedding add-on now.
Catering & Vendors at Powder Mountain
Powder Mountain didn’t offer in-house catering, which put the caterer and the beverage service entirely in the couple’s hands. It didn’t provide event coordination either, so a planner was a line in the budget rather than something the resort supplied.
Powder Mountain Wedding Cost
Powder Mountain never published wedding pricing. No starting price, no site fee, no food-and-beverage minimum, no per-guest figure. The last wedding material the resort put out asked couples to contact it for a quote built around their date, and there is nothing newer than that.
There’s no Powder Mountain listing on The Knot, WeddingWire, Cvent or Wedding Spot to check a figure against either.
Two numbers do still circulate on older directory sites, and both are worth knowing the provenance of rather than budgeting against.
One estimates $175 to $400 a person including catering. The other gives a $1,500 starting fee, on a listing last touched in 2016 that puts the address on Wolf Creek Drive rather than Powder Mountain Road.
Both describe the Summit Powder Mountain operation from before the 2023 sale, and neither number has ever come from the resort.
What to Know About Powder Mountain Right Now
Powder Mountain is not a resort winding down. It changed hands in 2023 and has been busy since, and 3 years of coverage since the sale runs through terrain expansion, real estate, art installations and passholder programs. Weddings appear in none of it.
People ask about the place anyway. Powder Mountain comes up more often than plenty of venues that host a wedding every weekend, so couples are clearly still picturing a day up there.
My honest read is that whatever happens on that mountain now happens privately. There’s a members-only residential community inside the resort with its own clubhouse, and nothing the resort publishes to the public mentions weddings at all. If you want to get married at Powder Mountain, I don’t think you’re choosing a package off a page. I think you’re asking whether they’ll do it.
That isn’t a no. It’s a phone call, and it goes before every other decision you’d normally make first.
