About Red Butte Garden
Red Butte Garden has welcomed guests since 1985 and is the largest botanical garden in the Intermountain West.
Red Butte Garden is a short 10-minute drive from downtown Salt Lake City.
Red Butte Garden’s 1,000 acres, large botanical garden and official arboretum offer plenty for guests to explore. If guests choose to venture off the 21 acres of developed gardens and five miles of hiking trails, the Natural History Museum and University of Utah are both nearby.
> Reception costs vary depending on the space, time of year and day of week but typically range from $1,200 – $4,200 to reserve the space.
> Red Butte Garden is happy to host rehearsal dinners for an extra rental fee.
Red Butte Garden offers two indoor venues (available year round) along with plentiful gardens for ceremonies (available April – October).
> The Rose House is ideal for smaller ceremonies or bridal prep.
> Richard K. Hemingway Orangerie is a spacious indoor garden offering the feel of alfresco without weather worries for ceremonies and receptions.
> The Rose House can accommodate 80 guests seated, 100 guests theater-style.
> Richard K. Hemingway Orangerie can accommodate 150 guests seated or 400 guests for a reception.
Weddings per Day
> Red Butte Garden hosts up to three events per day.
> They do not hold events when concerts are happening in the amphitheater.
Time and Noise Restrictions
> The Rose House can be rented from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. or 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
> Richard K. Hemingway Orangerie can be rented from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. or 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.
> Renters are allowed access two hours before and one hour after their time slot.

Red Butte Garden does not offer catering or lodging on-site but offers couples and guests a thorough recommendation list.
While Red Butte Gardens does not provide on-site catering, they do provide a list of eight approved caterers to select from.
