Snowbird Wedding Info
In addition to some of the best skiing in the world, Snowbird is also known for their iconic mountain weddings. There are numerous locations to say “I do” at this large ski resort. Their event planning team is experienced in planning everything from small, intimate gatherings to large, festive alpine celebrations.
Wedding Ceremony Sites
Snowbird offers a wide variety of ceremony and reception sites, both indoor and outdoor, and they host year-round weddings.
The Summit and Terraces areas can accommodate 200 guests on the main level terrace for an outdoor ceremony and 120 guests on the upper west deck for an outdoor ceremony. The indoor dining capacity for this option is 160 guests on the main level and 200 guests on the upper level. The upper level can accommodate dinner and dancing for 150 guests. The Snowbird tram can accommodate 100 guests and is wheelchair accessible.
The Magpie Terrace can accommodate 190 guests for an outdoor ceremony. The indoor dining capacity for this option is 150 guests in the Golden Cliff and 70 in the Eagles Nest upper loft. Golden Cliff can accommodate 130 guests for dancing.
The Amphitheater can accommodate 150-200 guests for an outdoor ceremony. This option is associated with an indoor space that can host 250 guests for dinner.
The Terrace Tent and Atrium patio can accommodate 200 guests for an outdoor ceremony. The tented dining capacity for this option is 400-600 guests.
Snowbird is located in Little Cottonwood Canyon, about 35 minutes from Salt Lake City. The resort is approximately 45 minutes from the Salt Lake International Airport.

Time and Noise Restrictions
Events hosted at the Summit and Terraces must conclude by 10pm in the winter and 11pm in the summer.
Events at the Golden Cliff/Magpie Terrace and the Amphitheater must conclude by 12am.
Events hosted at the Terrace Tent and Atrium patio must conclude by 10pm.

Pets are not allowed in Little Cottonwood Canyon because it is a protected watershed area.
Snowbird boasts an array of outdoor activities. There is, of course, phenomenal winter skiing and snowboarding. During the summer, wedding guests can zipline, mountain bike, hike, and more.
Snowbird Wedding Cost
Snowbird venue fees start at $3,500 and food and beverage minimums start at $10,000. Please contact Snowbird directly for additional information.
All wedding packages include tables, chairs, linen, silverware, china, glassware, indoor dance floor, and risers.
Wedding Catering and Lodging
Snowbird provides all onsite food and beverage and outside caterers are not allowed. Couples may bring their own wedding cakes, but there is a fee associated with using an outside bakery.
Lodging (On-site or Nearby)
Snowbird has numerous lodging options onsite, including the Cliff Lodge. Group discounts are available for wedding parties.
There are also many vacation rentals in the area, as well as lodging at nearby ski resort Alta.
Snowbird offers the bride and groom one complimentary room, complete with a welcome package and 60-minute massage.
Wedding guests receive 10% off spa treatments.
In-house Wedding Planner and Day-of Coordinator
Snowbird encourages single day weddings to hire an outside coordinator. They require any multiple-day events to hire a wedding planner.
