Puppies, iconic land art installation, salt water, kisses, skinny dipping, and stars—this engagement session had it all! Margeux and Diego’s engagement photos captured the couple’s playful spirits and the unique essence of this iconic Utah landmark.
About this Engagement Session at the Spiral Jetty
Margaux & Diego brought up the idea to drive north to the Spiral Jetty, the iconic land art installation by Robert Smithson, and I was on board. I’ve attended many lectures and discussions about Utah’s most famous art piece, so it was a no brainer for me to want to engage with it and use it as a backdrop. M&D brought in tow puppies, tequila, and lots of laughs for an epic shoot. The sunset was also one of the most memorable for me to date.
Why You Should Book an Engagement Session
I highly encourage couples to either book an engagement session or a wedding collection that includes it as a way for us to start our photographic voyage together. It really helps folks get comfortable in front of the camera. It also affords an opportunity for us all to vibe and get to know one another on a personal level, which is super helpful come the wedding day. Basically, it establishes trust.
What’s more, an engagement session helps you create more photos for you visual legacy that are informal, the more “everyday” you. And finally (can you tell, I love engagement sessions?), it’s an excuse to go play outside!
