Wadley Farms is a castle, a barn and a railroad building standing among gardens, vineyards and orchards on 23 acres of working farm at the base of Mount Timpanogos in Lindon. It’s a farm that reads as an estate, and the castle at the center of it is what sets a day here apart from a barn wedding.
The Wadley family has owned the ground since 1869, long before any of it was built for a wedding, and a reception thrown in the hay barn in 1990 turned into the venue’s second life. The family still runs it.
The 3 spaces sit a short walk apart, and they differ in more than size: capacity, price and whether you can hire your own caterer all change depending on which one you book.

Ceremony Sites at Wadley Farms
There are 3 places to hold a ceremony. The Castle takes up to 200 seated. The Barn takes up to 100. The Railroad Building takes up to 100 for an indoor ceremony, which makes it the one space here built around an indoor plan rather than an outdoor one.
Outdoor ceremonies aren’t typically scheduled between October and March, so a fall or winter date at Wadley Farms is an indoor date. Book between April and September and exclusive use of the gardens around your building comes with the rental.
Reception Spaces at Wadley Farms
The Castle’s Great Hall runs about 4,500 square feet, with an 1,800-square-foot upper chamber above it. Wadley Farms has put that upper room at roughly 80 for dining. For an open-flow reception, the Castle holds up to 350.
The Barn seats up to 100 for a sit-down dinner and holds up to 250 for an open-house reception. Rent the Railroad Building together with the garden and the space accommodates up to 300 for an open-house reception.
The Castle is built with turrets, stone walls and wrought-iron balconies outside, and high ceilings, dark wood and a 38-foot fireplace inside. Tables, chairs, easels, linens, a choice of centerpieces and decor pieces including lanterns, birdcages and buggies have been included with the rental.
Getting Ready, Lodging & Guest Logistics
All 3 buildings have space for a wedding party to get ready, and the Castle’s dressing rooms look out over the vineyard. Access to those spaces starts at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m., depending on the length of the rental, and dressing rooms are also named among what’s included with the full-day packages.
3 nightly rentals sit on the property: the Rustic Loft, the Château, which sleeps up to 8, and the Hermitage, a 2-bedroom suite that sleeps 4. They’re booked separately from the venue. Gatherings and events, including wedding-related ones, aren’t allowed in the lodging units before or after a booked event, so an after-party belongs at the venue or off site.
There’s ample parking on site. Wadley Farms has pointed guests to the Hyatt House and the Fairfield Inn nearby, and puts BYU campus and the Traverse Mountain outlets about 15 minutes away. The farm also grows fruit and keeps bees, which is worth asking about if you want to know what’s actually growing around you.
Catering & Vendors at Wadley Farms
Catering at the Castle has to come from Wadley Farms’ approved list. The Barn and the Railroad Building are open to any outside caterer, or to self-catering. There’s a kitchen on site for holding food hot or cold.
A recommended-vendor list covers the other categories, with 1 caterer named as required for a Castle rental. Alcohol carries a privilege fee. The Castle allows beer and wine served by a licensed bartender, and alcohol generally isn’t permitted in the Barn or the Railroad Building.
Wadley Farms Wedding Cost
Wadley Farms prices its spaces separately. The Castle is $5,600 for a Monday through Wednesday rental from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., $6,000 on Thursdays and $7,200 on Fridays and Saturdays, at the same rate all year.
The Barn and the Railroad Building run on a seasonal split: $4,800 to $5,600 from April through September depending on the day, and $3,100 to $3,600 from October through March.
Full-day packages cover 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and include ceremony setup, a meal, full event coordination, tables, chairs, linens, dressing rooms and a music system, starting at $7,000 for the Barn and $8,000 for the Castle.
The Premium Estate Package starts at $17,500 and takes the whole property for the day: the Castle, the Barn, the gardens and vineyard, plus all 3 nightly rentals at a combined rate.
Some costs apply whichever space you book. There’s a $350 ceremony fee, the $1,000 alcohol privilege fee, $1,000 for lighting in the Castle, $100 per 6-foot table and $8 per crossback chair.
Booking takes a signed contract and a non-refundable deposit, $2,000 for the Castle and $1,500 for the Barn or the Railroad Building. Shuttle service is available and quoted on request rather than published.
Adding hours to a standard rental cost $1,500 as of 2023; the current published option is the full-day package instead, so ask Wadley Farms directly if what you want is a shorter rental extended.
